Household Hazardous Wastes
Soaring Tortoise was hired to design and format the text for two of our pamphlets. Prior to work even starting our inquiry was taken seriously and after a brief discussion we received a timeline for the completion of our work. This enabled us to plan our time and reach our objective with ease. During our correspondence Jazmine was always courteous and prompt with getting back to us with changes and updates. The finished products were very professional looking and helped communicate our message.
Gerald Enns, GNWT
I worked with Gerald Enns to create a brochure distributed to Yellowknife households. It was a challenge creating visually appealing material about waste products. I decided to "spice up" the brochure by featuring photos which I took for this project. A-close up photograph of a dumpster and an old rusted can of paint remover form the background imagery. The green foot on the cover was used on other advertising material to visually tie various publications together. Gerald wanted a design that had a young, fresh look and stood out from other similar publications. I achieved this with vibrant imagery and the black tape font Dynamoe which seemed appropriate, given it was a waste-themed publication.
